Custom hotkeys
In order to assign a hotkey for an action:
#Select Settings from Menu to open Settings.
#Click Hotkeys from the side bar to open Hotkeys settings.
#Click on one of of the text boxes to enter a shortcut for an action.

Video
If you want to record in higher frame-rate, experiencing glitches in the recorded video, or running the application on a low-end device, try the workarounds below to improve the performance of video recording.

General Tips
*Choose smaller output resolution
*Choose lower video quality
*Choose lower frame rate
*Choose different Capture mode to record smaller area of screen

Gaming
If you use Screenbits to record your gaming experience, try the workarounds below to improve recording performance.

*Use Hotkeys to start recording in game rather than starting when the game is minimized
*Choose a lower video resolution from game options
*Choose a lower video quality settings from game options

Audio
If you are experiencing glitches in the recorded audio or using Screenbits on a low-end device, try the workarounds below to improve quality of the recorded audio.

Use default formats
If you record audio, select one of the following formats for the audio device from Output audio settings
*2 channel (stereo), 16bit, 44100 Hz
*2 channel (stereo), 16bit, 48000 Hz

Select the same format for multiple devices
If you record both recording and playback devices, make sure same format is selected for both devices. To make input and output match together to perform better, select Auto for sample-rate and channels from Output audio settings.
Mchehrazhttps://www.screenbits.com/h/index.php?title=Screenshot&diff=1206Screenshot2022-12-21T18:37:26Z
Mchehraz: /* Hotkeys */

There are different ways to capture screenshots from the application. Screenshots are saved to the output folder which you also access from Files section.

Preview
You can use Preview section to capture screenshots from current scene by clicking Screenshot button.

Compact View
Compact view also provides an option to capture screenshots from screen when using Area capture mode. To capture screenshots in this way, click Area button on Compact view then click Screenshot button.

Hotkeys
You also use Hotkeys to capture screenshots by keyboard shortcuts. To configure the target for screenshots which are taken by hotkeys, open Screenshot options from Settings.

Target
The target for screenshots depend on the way they are taken.

Screenshots taken from Preview section, target current scene which can be viewed in the preview. For example, if Device capture mode is selected, screenshots are taken from the selected camera or video capture device but if Screen capture mode is selected, screenshots are taken from screen and also include Camera overlay and Watermark if they are enabled.

In contrast, screenshots taken from Compact view always target the area on the screen which is selected to capture. Screenshots which are taken by hotkeys, can target either current scene or screen depending on screenshot settings.
Mchehrazhttps://www.screenbits.com/h/index.php?title=Compact_view&diff=1205Compact view2022-12-21T18:36:14Z
Mchehraz:

Since files section only shows files in the current output folder so if you change the output folder, you won't be able to see previously recorded files because those files are in a different folder. However, you can always access those files from your storage through Explorer app or by changing the output folder back to the previous location.
Mchehraz
